FAMILY THERAPY

Building healthy relationships within a family does not always come naturally. Sometimes, it takes time, effort, and support.

Families move through different phases of life, including difficult periods involving anger, stress, burnout, grief, chronic illness, and other challenges. Family members may also hold grudges or feel rejected after conflict. Family therapy offers an opportunity to identify concerns and work toward solutions together, with family members who are willing to participate.

A space for your family

Family counseling is a form of psychotherapy in which members of an immediate or extended family come together to work toward a shared goal. Family challenges can be addressed when members are willing to work together in sessions. Individual therapy or couples therapy may also be helpful options for addressing family-related concerns.

How therapy can help

How Can Family Therapy Help?

Family therapy can help resolve conflicts at home, improve communication among family members, and support families when a member needs additional care. This may involve a serious physical or mental illness, children’s behavioral concerns, illness or death in the family, and other challenges. I work with and support each family member so that no one feels overwhelmed, left out, or frustrated.

To help your family work toward its goals, we will identify concerns, family dynamics, and obstacles. We will then develop a treatment plan to guide your family through the process.
