TELETHERAPY
IN NEW YORK

I provide psychotherapy services at my offices in Astoria, Queens and NYC, NY as well as virtual counseling sessions through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth website that ensures therapy sessions are easily accessible, private and confidential for virtual therapy users around the world. It is not necessary to be tech savvy to navigate the webpage or start your online therapy in New York.

Online counseling is the new frontier in the field of mental health services. With the advance of technology and internet services, the access to psychotherapy is now available anywhere, anytime. You just need a computer, cell phone or tablet as well as an internet connection at the time of your online session.

Teletherapy, is mostly happening in the comfort of your own home or office. Patients do not need to commute, stress out looking for parking around my office or deal with extreme weather conditions. Teletherapy in New York offers flexibility, readiness and effective support anytime to those who have a busy schedule and people struggling with very demanding family or work responsibilities as well as sick people who cannot move from their homes. My experience has shown that cancer patients, busy moms, college students and overachieving executives are the ones who get the most out of online therapy.

Teletherapy in New York and on-site sessions aim both to be a safe space to treat the same psychological symptoms, relationships problems or emotional issues; however, they are also very different and not everybody is a candidate for teletherapy. Some patients need the real presence of the therapist and to be able to put their body in the place where the session takes place, either in individual therapy or couple counseling. On the other hand, some other patients need the readiness that online counseling offers due to complex life circumstances.

Currently, I render individual therapy and couples therapy online to NY state residents as well as performing immigration evaluations (Extreme hardship, Asylum, U Visa, VAWA). People located outside the U.S, can also benefit from my psychotherapy services. Please send me a message or call me to add a convenient consultation appointment to your schedule.

Update: Due to this time of quarantine and social distance, I am working with sliding scale fees and providing a free 15- minute phone consultation to those who are feeling stressed out, overwhelmed or anxious in relation to Coronavirus, changes in their routine and feelings of uncertainty.

I offer tele-therapy and phone sessions for specific cases.
Please contact me by email or phone to know more about it. ( 917 ) 370 3474

What is teletherapy, and how does it work?

Teletherapy, also referred to as online therapy or telehealth, is a modern form of mental health counseling that utilizes video conferencing or secure communication platforms. With teletherapy, you can receive professional therapy services from the convenience of your home or any location with internet access. During a teletherapy session, our interactions take place in real-time through video and audio communication, ensuring a personalized and supportive experience.

Is teletherapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Yes, research suggests that teletherapy can be as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health concerns. Numerous studies have demonstrated positive outcomes and patient satisfaction with teletherapy services. However, the effectiveness may vary depending on the individual’s needs and the nature of their mental health condition.

What equipment do I need for teletherapy sessions?

To participate in teletherapy, you’ll need a reliable internet connection, a computer or smartphone with a webcam and microphone, and a private, quiet space where you can talk openly without distractions.

Are there any specific conditions that are not suitable for teletherapy?

While teletherapy can be effective for a wide range of mental health concerns, it may not be suitable for individuals experiencing severe crises or depression, suicidal ideation, or those requiring immediate in-person intervention.

What can you expect from your first teletherapy session?

In your initial teletherapy session, my primary focus will be on getting to know you better, building a strong therapeutic relationship, and understanding your concerns and unique experiences. We will discuss your treatment goals and explore what you hope to achieve through therapy. I will take the time to explain how the teletherapy process works, ensuring you feel comfortable and informed about the virtual counseling environment.

Is teletherapy confidential, and are my sessions recorded?

Teletherapy sessions are confidential, just like in-person therapy. Your sessions will not be recorded or stored, ensuring that your privacy is protected.

What is the cost of Teletherapy?

The cost of teletherapy sessions can vary depending on the type of service you require, such as individual, couple, family, or premarital counseling. To obtain specific information about my fees, kindly reach out to me directly. I will be more than happy to provide you with the necessary details and answer any other questions you may have regarding payment options or insurance coverage.

Is there a cancellation policy, and will I be charged for a missed teletherapy session?

I have a cancellation policy in place for all my services to ensure that clients receive the support they need and to optimize my availability. I request at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you fail to provide proper notice or miss a scheduled session, you will be responsible for the payment of your session. I understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances may arise, and I will handle such situations with understanding and flexibility.
